Flood threat recedes - for now

Expert predictions of flooding in Leamington did not come to fruition at the weekend.
The Environment Agency placed the River Leam on its 'floodwatch' list. Other rivers on its list included the Avon at Stratford, the Itchen and the Stour.
But despite heavy rain, the Leam did not top its banks, and there were no reports of problems in Cubbington, badly affected last summer.
Latest Met Office forecasts predict a dry day today (Monday). No flood or severe weather warnings are in place.
However, rain is expected to return tomorrow - and further downpours are forecast for Thursday.
