The countdown now stands at just 21 days and it seems like there's still a million and one things to sort out.
This week we’ve been purchasing gifts for those who are and have been helping us plan and organise our big day.
Parents, some family and some friends will all be receiving a special thank you gift.
The major stuff is all in hand, like the decor
ations for the venue, the number of guests for the day and evening and there’s also now been another dress fitting since my last column.
The final fitting won’t be until a week before the wedding as I attempt to drop a few more pounds. I have never drunk so much water in my life, but my skin feels and looks better for it and the Power for Health programme is really beginning to kick in.
Week two:
I lost 3.5lbs in my first week. It wasn’t easy, but then losing weight never is. I did have some tea, but kept it to no more than two a day and I remained completely chocolate free all week and will continue to do so for another few weeks yet.
Still getting used to the no potatoes rule though, although sweet potato as an alternative is actually really nice.
It’s week two now and the plan is a little more forgiving. I have been allowed some wine, which I enjoyed at the Kenilworth Festival on Saturday night, I can have some bread and there’s a few new recipes to try out.
I am hoping for the weight-loss success of last week, but week two is rarely as impressive as the first. I’ll be happy with 2lbs, fingers crossed.
