Toddler drowned in Warwick Pond

A toddler has drowned after falling into a pond in Warwick.

The two-year-old boy was found in a garden in Clinton Avenue, Hampton Magna on Monday where it is believed he had been playing.
Ambulance crews attended the address at around 12.40pm and took the youngster to Warwick Hospital.

The boy was later transferred to the Leicester Royal Infirmary where he died on Tuesday afternoon. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated but police are not treating it as suspicious.
The boy has not been named.
