Christians in Southam invited residents to have 'fun in the sun' at a family event at the weekend.
Face painting, games and live entertainment took place on the recreation ground throughout Saturday afternoon.
It was organised by St James's church as part of the national Hope08 movement designed to encourage churches to serve their communities.
The Rev John Armstrong said: "Lots of people of all ages came along and had a great time.
"We had a healing tent where people could be prayed for, but the main aim of the event was to give the community a fun, free day out.
"I'd alike to thank our extremely hardworking and committed team of volunteers led by Rob Gordon and Richard Hewitt and would like to thank everyone who sponsored it."
School music and dance groups performed on a stage as did a number of Southam bands including the Above Average Weight Band and the Lost Brothers.
The event was one of a number being held by the church as part of Hope08 this year and follows a healing service at the town's Holy Well.
Mr Armstrong added: "Hope08 is about telling people there is hope and getting congregations out of their church buildings and into the community.
"Volunteers are helping people with things like decorating and gardening and have been re-painting play equipment around the town."
In September an 'Alpha' course to explore Christianity will be run by the church at the Tarsus Restaurant, Daventry Road.
